About Us

Platinum Audio Visual begun in 1961 (originally named 'Clarke & Webb Television & Radio Service'). During our time we have evolved with the electronics industry to be a leading Digital Reception and Audio Visual Installation Specialists.

During 2012, in line with the evolving industry, we closed our Mort Street workshop. Whilst nothing has changed for the installation side of the business this has evolved the repairs side of the business. The industry has changed to the point it is no longer viable to repair small items and even small TV products.

As a leading AV Installations business we continue to grow and expand and we are now conducting regular installations south to Sydney, West to the Northern Territory, East to Brisbane and into Northern Queensland.

Over the last 18 months we have been heavily involved in Oil, Gas and Mining projects. These projects involve TV and Data systems for Mining Camps and Management Complexes. Our experienced team and trusted sub-contractors ensure the jobs have flowed smoothly and been completed in a timely and effecient manner. Recently this has resulted in expansion and creation of a second business, MineCamp TV and Data, which is dedicated just these projects.

As the consumer electronics industry evolves we will continue to evolve with it. We can see the end of repairs coming with all units most likely becoming retailer exchange after breakdown. The installations side of the business however will continue to grow and expand as it is currently. As current projects, such as the NBN, will change peoples Digital Live's forever and also the ever evolving Audio Visual technologies our valued clients can rest assured we will keep training and passing our knowledge onto them well into the future.
